Without further delay, I promised a series update post for the new year, so here’s the info I am able to share at the moment.
Series Update
I have finished writing Aidan & Jessie’s story. I know, I know, FINALLY. Right? Here is the official title of book 4…
Release date…
Target goal is Spring 2016. I need to be deeper into edits before I feel comfortable announcing a firm date. So please bear with me.
What you can expect….
- A long book. No surprise there. LOL I won’t sugar coat it. In fact, right now, it’s the longest of the series. I’m in the process of trimming parts at the moment. But there are issues which cannot be resolved in a chapter.
- It’s primarily character-driven. There’s a background crime/detective element because of the storyline and Aidan’s occupation (can’t have a detective character without any detecting going on 🙂 ). But it is not the driving force of this story but is included to show a side of Aidan’s character. Ultimately, their story is one of healing and the book focuses on Aidan & Jessie.
- Yes, the ending is HEA. I couldn’t make my guys suffer without giving them one. Sadly, yes, they go through a lot of stuff in this story.
- There’s enough back story so the book can be read as a standalone.
- There will be reappearances from prior characters (and a mention of a future one).
- I’m sure there will be parts where you’re yelling at both Jessie and Aidan (mainly Aidan). But I also hope there are parts where you’re cheering them on.
- This book comes with a warning label (abuse & violence). If you’re familiar with these characters, I suspect the warning label was expected.
Cover reveal, blog tour, etc….
Once I’ve got a release date, then I can set the cover reveal and tour dates. And yes, there will be prizes. 🙂
I will post the blurb once I have the release date.
Here’s a link to a prior post with more info if you care to read more…

So looking forward tothis story! Take your time, the wait is worth it!
Yeah, can’t wait for the new book!!!
Ok. Cleaned my glasses, ready to read!
Happy New Year to you too! I can’t wait for this book! <3 Is it going to be for preorder?
Hi, Serena! I don’t typically put my books up for preorder. I know it’s convenient (sorry!) but I’ve heard too many horror stories and prefer to avoid any problems or create more stress on release day. Thank you for posting and Happy New Year!
Can’t wait for my boys!!!
Yes, yes, yes!
So excited for this book as this is one of my favourite series period!
Great news!! I love the Men of Halfway House serie and i look forward to A Mended Man, Aidan & Jessie’s story.
I will definitely be on the look out for the release date.
Good Luck with making the final edits on A Mended Man 🙂
I’m also delighted to hear that the next book in the series is coming soon this spring and yes it will be intense. I kept checking back as I loved all of your books so far in this series. I was lucky and spoilt I suppose that when I discovered your books the first three had been published so I could read them one after another. I cant wait.
